FREQUENTLY ASKED Q's and A's Q. Do you give refunds on deposits made on puppies? A. No, we are sorry but once a deposit is made we consider that a commitment to purchase Q. Do you give a health guarantee on your puppies? A. Yes, we do.  Our puppies are all vet checked before leaving our farm for their new homes. They should be re-checked by your vet within three working days to make sure he/she also feels they are healthy.  We further guarantee our puppies for a year against any possible lethal genetic defect that could not be determined at the time of sale.    If that should happen, we would replace the puppy or the purchase price, but would need a statement from your vet.  We are not responsible for any veterinarian bills that you occur on any of the puppies that we sell. THIS HEALTH GUARANTEE IS ONLY FOR PUPPIES BRED BY ROBERTA ELFTMAN OF GREEN ACRE FARM. I breed by males to other people's females occasionally and they may or may not have a health guarantee. . .anyone interested in their puppies would have to check with them personally. Q. What kind of veterinarian care have the puppies had? A. Our puppies are all sold current on their shots. They get their first shot at approximately 5 weeks, second at 7 l/2 weeks and are usually sold at around 8 weeks. By that time they have been wormed at around 4, 6 and 7 l/2 weeks. When they are sold, their records go with them so your vet (and you) will know exactly what they have received. Our vet's name is: Wyatt C. Galbraith, DVM of Animal Clinic, 617 W. Poplar, Pulaski, TN 38478. His telephone number is 931 363-4581. Q. What kind of food is your puppy used to eating? A. Our puppies are fed a blend of Purina Puppy Healthy Morsels mixed with Purina Pro (toy breed, puppy formula) and they should be kept on it for several weeks and changed gradually to whatever puppy food that you may wish to feed. Please do note that should you be purchasing a female puppy from us and do at a later time breed her, she does need to eat puppy food when she is pregnant and providing milk for the puppies or she could get a very serious illness. Q. How are puppies registered? A. Almost all of our puppies are registered with AKC. A few are registered with CKC. If the puppies are registered with AKC, they do come with full breeding and showing rights - they are NOT SOLD LIMITED. Q. Do you ship and how does shipping work? A. Yes, we do ship. We ship DELTA PETS FIRST out of Huntsville, Alabama direct to your local International airport. The total cost for shipping is $300. This includes reserving your pups place on the airplane, the airplane ticket, the dog kennel they need to ride in, the out of state health certificate, insurance for your pet on the airplane, and delivering your puppy to the airport. We can usually ship within 48 hours of receiving the total amount owed us for the puppy via Paypal, money order or a certified check. We will email your pups route to you along with his arrival time & on what airplane flight, along with the number assigned your pet, and a telephone number where you can get directions to the Pet Cargo area of your airport. We have never had any problems with shipping whatsoever. The puppies are kept in a climate controlled area in the plane and are kept at about 70 degrees. Your puppy will arrive in excellent condition and probably be very happy to be out of the kennel. At certain times of the year, we do have to ship at certain times/days because of temperature. When pups are sent, the weather does need to be over 40 and under 80 because they will be outside when they change planes. Q. If we bought two, would shipping be less? A. Yes, it would be $300, but they would arrive in the same kennel. Q. How are your puppies raised? A. They are raised under foot in our house. In fact, all of our dogs are house dogs. We do have a heated/air conditioned kennel, but usually the dogs that are in it are the males (if we have dogs in season) or the females that are in season; we rotate the dogs in and out. We also use are kennel if we go on vacation and for visiting female dogs. Q. Do you have references? A. Yes, we have sold puppies throughout the country and have never had a complaint about our puppies.
